Guestia becomes Corporate Supporter of the World Land Trust

Guestia is committed to helping our customers and partners reduce their use of paper. To underline that, we’re supporting World Land Trust’s Plant a Tree programme which funds local conservation partners to reforest areas that have been lost in the past and reconnect fragmented habitats for wildlife. For every new subscription to Guestia, we will fund the planting of two new trees through WLT’s Plant a Tree programme.

Commercial Director at Guestia, Nigel Essam, said “We’re really pleased to be able to back up the paper saving our app delivers through supporting the important work the World Land Trust does to plant trees and reforest habitats around the world. To date, the World Land Trust has funded the planting over 2.3 million trees and protected over 2.35 million acres of threatened habitat in 20 countries.

We’re passionate about reducing Guestia’s environmental impact, we are a paperless company, and our platform is hosted on Microsoft Azure which will use 100% renewable energy by 2025 and be fully carbon neutral by 2030.

It’s crazy to think that an F1 team can generate around 50,000 sheets of paper per year on their team travel alone, so you can only imagine the amount that is printed and thrown away over a season of VIP hospitality programmes as well. Using an online solution instantly cuts this down to zero, so we’re excited to help more customers reduce their paper use and support the WLT to plant even more trees around the world.

“We are pleased to be working with Guestia to restore habitat for wildlife and are grateful for their support to the Plant a Tree programme” added Tracey Butler, Corporate Communications Manager, World Land Trust.
